Comments about CH Ellis SRTC4TW General Mechanics Tool Box (GMTK): 16 1/2" H x 20" W x 11" D:
I like the comment of the previous reviewer who said "it's heavy, it's expensive, it works." Yes it is heavy but that does not hinder it. The wheels are placed that if it sits flat the wheels do not touch the ground and it can slid. I have used that to advantage by turning it sideways and sliding it in cramped spaces. Heavy to lift with my tools but I have grown some muscles from lifting it and saved paying for the use of a gym.
Heavy and roto-molded plastic means expensive (also means Indestructible). I am confident that it will last the rest of my career. Yes I get comments about the size but I do not see myself walking back and forth from the truck many times since I can put most of the tools I will need in it.
I like the fact I can lock it and I use the tie down ring in back when I leave the toolbox at a customer to go to lunch and want to chain it to something so it will not take a walk with someone else.
I might replace the drawers with stainless drawers in the future but the plastic drawers are fine for now.
I messed up a wheel by dragging it when stuff was caught in the wheel. I was in a hurry. I had to buy a new wheel but that was mainly due to my negligence.

ok... this thing is built like a tank.
however, beauty is in the eye of the
beholder, as it's ugly as a mud fence.
the trays are NOT on guides. the drawers
sit on shelves, and have a lip to prevent
them from falling out. everything is stainless,
aluminum, or SOLID plastic. they say you
can put 50 lbs of stuff in it. the front
drawer cover you would expect to be hollow
plastic, it is SOLID. shoot, you
can put 150 lbs of stuff in it if you want,
it's indestructable. it has a tie down ring
on the back that also can lift it, as nothing
can disappear out of the drawers no matter what
position the case is in. you can clip a leash
on it, and send it up on a crane hook to the
top of a building with 150 lbs of tools if you
want. i weigh 225, and i can jump up and down
on it without it even flexing.
it's heavy, it's expensive, it works.
if you've read this far, just go buy
the thing. you know you want it. :-)
