lighter/smaller-much easier to physically deal with than the pro-tec, but not as protective of course, might require reasonably thoughtful behavior in handling but why shouldn't that be 'the case'.?

This is great for a soft bag. You will not get protection for your sax. But its a Soft bag so thats ok. I use it as a backpack Works great.

We were very pleased with the bag we ordered. It is lightweight and well padded. My son carries it to school with ease, at times as a backpack, and at times with handles. The pouch on the side does not hold a lot, but it is able to hold necessities such as reeds. It came on the date it was expected.
