I purchased this for my 11 year old daughter. My main reason for buy it is I thought that it came with a shoulder strap. It did not. I was very dissappointed as this was one of the features I was looking for in a case, so she would not have so much trouble carrying it from school, class and home.

Good points: It looks good, its very light and it's low cost, which balances the following bad points. The extra pouch is handy, but the elastic straps on the side ripped within a month. One reason I bought the case was because I thought it had a shoulder strap--Apparently all the cases except the flute case has the shoulder strap. It's a very sturdy case but the cutouts inside are not form-fitting enough and the instrument parts slide around a little. When the case is open, it will not lie flat, which is a nuisance. Also, there is no specific place to put the cleaning rod. My daughter has to wrap it in the cloth and tuck it under the main flute section (which does keep the flute snugger).

This case was for my daughter. What I really liked is that when her old traditional case broke we looked at repair costs and to be honest the price of your case was about the same as the cost to repair her old one. She is 11 years old and she thinks her new case is "Really Cool"
