This is the most useful carry on case I've ever owned. It 's ability to fold down into a hand truck makes it unbelievably convenient. Pick up your gear at baggage claim and toss it on the Porter case. No need to rent a cart or call a skycap. When you're changing flights again you flip it to hand truck position and toss your soft bag on top as you wheel to the next flight.
But it is built too weak to stand up to the use it's designed for. I know because I owned one in which the folding handles bent and it became a real chore to fold and unfold it. I took my second, brand new Porter case to a weld shop and had the handle reinforced with angle iron. Problem of weakness solved but it did add $72 to the cost. Nonetheless I do recommend this procedure to pros who will give their case heavy use.

Strong and easy to use. Transformation into a hand-truck is great. I was able to load two heavy suitcases on top of it traveling to a trade show.
Interior space has some odd shape protrusions (due to structural elements built into the case) so if you need to carry something boxed (camera equipment, computer) it takes a bit of fiddling to figure out the maximum dimension. Also the lock seems a bit weak. I've only used it on one trip so time will tell about its durability, but so far I'm very satisfied with the case.
