This is a nice case for the price. It is slightly heavy but for the protection of the ABS shell I think that it's worth it. The aluminum binding forms a nice seal between the halves. It is a little dificult to open considering there is not much to grip on the top. The well padded interior fits my guitar like a glove. So the strap has to be removed from my guitar for it to fit in the case. A detail that I did not find on the website - Imported: China.

I'd like to see the case be even a little sturdier than it is, but with that comes more weight, which I wouldn't welcome much of. All in all, it's a very nice case inside and out. \n\nI've had the misfortune to witness airline baggage handlers at work on many occasions, and I worry that this case might not stand up to their considerable abuse -- especially when they start piling (throwing) things on top of my case.\n\nTime will tell. I plan to give it an airline test in the not so distant future. I'm pretty certain it will perform better than most any chipboard case. I've owned one before. Wasn't all that impressed.\n\nFor everyday use, this case has been outstanding. Looks like it cost quite a bit more than I paid for it. Seems very well constructed. \n\nI checked out a local music store before I bought this case, and they wanted more for a chipboard case than I paid for this one. Heavens knows what they'd want for one like this. I didn't hang around long enough to find out.
